Jambulance Movement Records is a brand new initiative to bring about a free mobile recording studio in Guinea, West Africa. The Jambulance label will release the recorded music with the proceeds going to the recording artists.
The Jambulance van will be equipped with a range of instruments and will give hidden talents the opportunity to record free of charge in a professional studio brought directly into their communities. There will be a team of sound engineers and musicians on board who will collaborate with artists to write music, while training young producers to record with a live set-up.
After the music is published and the static studios are built, young people will be offered courses in sound engineering and the music industry in order to release music independently.
Guinea is the first step for The Jambulance. The aim is to drive into the heart of communities across Africa lifting the lid on the wealth of talented musicians who have never had access to studios or labels to record and market their music.
Our aim is to equip musicians in Africa with free facilities to promote, preserve and profit from their rich musical heritage.

Covid-19
The team are in close contact with the Guinean government to monitor the Covid-19 situation in the country.
Lockdown is unlikely in Guinea but in this case we will set up as a static studio until travel restrictions are eased.
There will be an on-board hand washing station, all instruments will be sanitised between sessions, and most recording will take place outside.
